To save farmers and people living in Bihar from disasters happening due to weather, this Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a mobile app called “Mausam Bihar”.
In addition to the mobile app, the Bihar CM also inaugurated the Bihar Mausam Seva Kendra located on the 6th floor of Sardar Patel Bhawan.
Through this app, people in Bihar will get accurate weather forecasting information 5 days before.
This information helps them to prepare better for the upcoming weather.
For example, Farmers can take better decisions about when to sow seed and harvest crops.
Also, it will help to save the loss of life and properties that happens due to natural calamities like floods, droughts, cold waves, heat waves, cyclonic storms, lightning, etc.
Through this app, Bihar has become the first state in India to have its own state-centric weather app.

Senior Scientist of Bihar Metrological Service Center, Dr. CN Prabhu says that our center will be working 24 hours to provide weather information to the people of Bihar.
