To speed up the crime-control process, the Bihar Police is going to launch an Emergency Support System throughout the state.
The system will patrol some select districts (in the starting phase) in the state 24×7 with separate police officials.
The role of these police officials will be to visit the crime scene before the local police if anyone registers a complaint by calling 112.
These police officials will first register the complaint and thereafter deliver it to the officials of the local police station.
As per a report from a local newspaper, this new system will be implemented in our state in December this year.
The police headquarters is currently purchasing around 400 vehicles to implement this system.
All vehicles will be equipped with GPS.
To complete the first phase of the Emergency Support System, the state home ministry has already allocated Rs 42 crore to the officials.
In the first phase, the emergency support system will be implemented in 10 districts of Bihar. It will be expanded thereafter to the remaining districts.
The Bihar Government has reportedly planned to spend around Rs 176.22 crore to complete creating and rolling out the emergency support system.
For now, we know this system is first rolling out in the state capital. Near Rajvanshi Nagar, a wireless support system is being built that will connect all the 112 complaints to the patrolling party.
In addition to the upcoming emergency support system, Bihar already has some other support systems listed below.
- Police – 100
- Fire Brigade – 101
- Ambulance – 102
And now the emergency support system – 112.
So, what’s your opinion about this new system? I would be glad to know about the same in the comments down below.
