The Leprosy Mission is one of the oldest Hospitals in Muzaffarpur.

It was established back in 1904 with a small leprosy home, but gradually it became a 60-bed hospital.

While the Hospital masters in Leprosy treatment (which is a chronic infectious disease), it also treats other specialties. For example, Dermatology, Reconstructive Surgery, Counselling Therapy, and others.

Most people say it is one of the best hospitals to get skin-related treatment. In addition to that, here you can check up your eyes as well.

The hospital is situated near Ramna. To get the treatment, you first have to take the registration slip generated in the hospital. After registration, you will be assigned to a doctor. The doctor then looks up your problem and will prescribe medicines for you. You then have to take the prescription to the designated counter (in the hospital) to collect the medication. It is one of the best facilities in the hospital as you don’t have to visit the outside to purchase your medicine. Everything is present right inside the hospital.

The hospital has 61 beds in Inpatient Wing. Of these number of beds, 60 of them are for Leprosy whereas 1 for general.

The hospital has different lab facilities as well. For example, X-Ray, ECG, etc.
