While the whole world is fighting with Corona outbreak, It looks like Patna IGIMS does not have enough masks and sanitizers. The reason why the hospital staffs today has protested against the hospital authority. Today, Patna IGIMS contractual nurses and ward boys protested against the hospital authority and alleged the hospital authority is not giving them enough masks and sanitizers. The hospital workers today have protested at the front gate of the hospital and boycotted to perform their work.
Hospital workers protesting outside the hospital says, How can we treat and take care of a corona patient when we don’t have enough masks and sanitizers. If we continue to perform our work without getting these protective items, we may expose ourself to the same virus, and that is the most frightful situation.
The Hospital staff protesting says the hospital authority only give the contractual workers to work inside the isolation ward. On the other side, Permanent workers are not performing their duty. That’s the reason, today, the contractual workers of the hospital start protesting and boycott their work. The protesting workers ask the hospital authority to give them enough masks and sanitizers as well as register a 50 lakh life insurance.
While talking to Hospital Superintendent, Dr Manish Mandal, he said there is no shortage of masks and sanitizers in the hospital premises.
