bihar extends lockdown till september 6 2020

In a bid to flatten the curve in the state, today, the Bihar Home Department issued a notification about extending the existing lockdown in the state. The notification says, the existing lockdown in the state has now been extended till September 6, 2020.

About restrictions amid lockdown, the notification mentions are the same that was issued in the order dated July 30, 2020. While the previous order was in effect till August 16, the same has been extended with some more restrictions till September 6, 2020. Here is what the order dated August 17 says.

While the restrictions are same that was mentioned in the order dated July 30, let me list out the same restrictions again for your ease.

Restrictions amid Lockdown in Bihar till September 6, 2020

The restrictions are going to be the same as was in the earlier lockdown.

  1. Amid Lockdown, no buses can operate, however, the taxi, auto, private vehicles, essential item vehicles can operate by following the MHA guidelines.
  2. All Educational Institutions will remain closed; however, they are free to provide classes online.
  3. All public places of worship will be closed. No religious congregation will be allowed without exception. All social, political, educational, entertainment, sports, cultural and religious ceremonies, and functions will be prohibited.
  4. Stadiums can open but without Spectators.
  5. All medical and essential services will remain outside the scope of restrictions during lockdown.
  6. Central and State government offices with their autonomous and subordinate offices can work with 50 percent personnel.
  7. Food Shops, Grocery, Agricultural Inputs, Banks, IT services, Print and Electronic Media, Internet, Telecom, e-commerce, Petrol Pumps, Electricity generation etc can operate.
  8. Following MHA guidelines about COVID-19, Business and Private Institutions including Shops are allowed to open but the district administration will decide their time of operation.
