Although the Election Commission hasn’t announced the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 date but has revealed today, the same election is to be completed before November 29 this year. They said, the election date will be announced at the appropriate time once we verify all the background process relates with the assembly election is completed and we are all set to conduct the elections.
Currently, different Political parties in Bihar are exercising the seat sharing. Following this episode, it is speculated, the largest constituent of the Grand Alliance “RJD” may fight for 135-140 seats, Congress for 45-50 seats, RLSP for 23-25 seats, CPI (ML) to fight for 12-15 seats, VIP for 8-10 seats, and CPI (M) for 2-3 seats. As of this, however, is speculation right now.
The ruling alliance partners, Nitish Kumar’s Janta Dal United and Bhartiya Janta Party are also talking about their seat sharing.
Those of you who don’t know, the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2020 may hold in October 2020 to elect 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Currently, 122 seats are needed for an alliance or a party to have a majority.
Muzaffarpur Exclusive: Muzaffarpur District contributes 11 of these 243 legislative assembly seats.
Political Parties to Participate in Bihar Assembly Elections 2020
As I explained above, in the Bihar Assembly Elections we will see fight in between two major alliances i.e. National Democratic Alliance and United Progressive Alliance.
At the time of writing this article, The National Democratic Alliance involves four political parties. The first one is Nitish Kumar led Janata Dal United (JDU). The second one is Sushil Kumar Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The third one is Ram Vilas Paswan led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), and the fourth one is Jitan Ram Manjhi led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
Coming to the United Progressive Alliance, at the time of writing this article, it consists of four political parties i.e. Tejashwi Yadav led Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD), Madan Mohan Jha led Indian National Congress (INC), Upendra Kushwaha led Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP), and Mukesh Sahani led Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). However, in addition to these four political parties it is speculated CPI (ML) and CPI (M) may also join the United Progressive Alliance to fight against the ruling alliance.
