A three-storey Municipal Shopping Mart is going to open soon in Tilak Maidan Road of Muzaffarpur.
This shopping mart will be built under the Muzaffarpur Smart City Project.
Tilak Maidan Road currently has 29 shops built by the Municipal Corporation. All these 29 shops have been asked to vacate by 30 March. This three-storey municipal shopping mart will be built in place of these 29 shops.
It is being told that the total cost of making this project will be around Rs. 14 crores. At present, an agreement has been made by the Muzaffarpur Smart City Company with a large agency in Patna to complete the project, and soon work order will be issued in the name of the agency.
Vivek Ranjan Maitreya, MD of Muzaffarpur Smart City cum the Municipal Commissioner of Muzaffarpur, said that this shopping mart has been targeted to be completed within a year.
The face lifting work of Sutapatti will also be completed soon.
The beautification of the area around Saraiyaganj tower such as Sutapatti, Bank Road etc. is also going to be done under the Smart City Project. It has been estimated to cost around Rs 30 crores. Ramsagar Construction, a major agency in Indore, has been selected to carry out this work.
Apart from this, many of you will be aware that an Integrated Command and Control Center building is to be constructed in Muzaffarpur which will be done by demolishing the MRDA building of Company Bagh.
