This Friday (i.e. on 7 April 2023), the Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar, and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav unveiled the long-awaited Patna Metro Logo at Moinulhaq Stadium in Patna.
Officials select the logo out of 7500 designs received from people across the country.
From Bihar itself, officials said, they received nearly 2500 designs and from Patna alone, 2000 designs came.
“We have received designs from people across our country. We receive over 7500 designs. These designs came from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Guwahati, Patna, and more. We feel pleased that people are showing their interest in the contest.”

Yes, to attract more designers to design the Patna Metro Logo, the PMRC (Patna Metro Rail Corporation) organized a PAN-India contest. The winner bags a prize money of Rs 50,000 and those who score the second and third position get prize money of Rs 25000 and Rs 11000 respectively.
After announcing the contest, the PMRC officials explained to the candidates that, “The logo will not just represent Patna but also the revolution of urban transport in the city.”
The winner of the contest is selected by the collaborative decision taken by different judges that include PMRC officials, experts from NIFT Patna, and Patna College of Arts and Crafts.
So, we now have the Patna Metro Logo. It is a significant milestone in the development of the city’s urban transportation system. In the future, the more Patna City grows, the logo will serve as a proud symbol of progress and innovation.
