After meeting with Principals of Different medical colleges in the state, the Bihar Government has decided to make NMCH the Corona Special Hospital. The information is given by the Bihar Health Department saying from Today On, until further notice, NMCH only treats Corona Patients, and all the patients treating inside NMCH will be shifted to PMCH.
Do note that NMCH i.e., the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital is the second-largest government hospital in Bihar after PMCH i.e., the Patna Medical College and Hospital. Also, both of these hospitals are in Patna, and the distance between them by road is around 7 Km.
Till now, Three Corona positive patients found in Bihar, and one among them has already died this Saturday. Looking at the Corona outbreak, Last Sunday, the state Government order to lock down Bihar till March 31. However, On Monday, Many reported partial lockdown in different cities in Bihar. The result is District Magistrates of various cities in the state today is taking strict action against those who try to break the lockdown. From today on, if someone tries to broke the lockdown in the state, DGP Gupteshwar Pandey says, we will take strict against the convict as per sections 269, 277, and 271. These sections imply 3 to 6 months of Imprisonment or fine upto Rs. 5 thousand.
