Today, new electricity rates announced in Bihar. Bihar State Electricity Regulatory Commission today announced new tariffs of electricity in Bihar, in which they said that from April 1 next month, electricity will become 10 paise per unit cheaper in the state. Apart from that, the electricity meter rate has also been abolished in the state.

Those of you who do not know, recently, power companies (SBPDCL and NBPDCL) present in the state had filed a petition to Bihar State Electricity Regulatory Commission. In the petition, the power companies had sought to increase the fixed charge per connection. The reason companies presented to increase the fixed charge was that they now have to provide electricity to the users without any load shedding.

However, with the introduction of new rates, it became clear that the Commission has rejected the petition filed by the power companies. At the same time, if sources are considered, now the fixed charge bill will also be reduced if Bihar Janta gets less than 21 hours of electricity.

So, Happy Time for all the electricity consumers in Bihar.
