In the first shift of Assembly this Wednesday, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Kumar Modi announced that they are going to provide Kisan Credit Card to around 3 lakh farmers in the state. He says the Agriculture Department conducts a 15 day special campaign in between February 12 to 27 in which 3,2,626 farmers applied for Kisan Credit Card. Out of these number of farmers, 29,041 have already get their KCC and the remaining ones will get their KCC soon.
Bihar Deputy CM accepts he heard some cases in which banks hesitate to give KCC and for this we give necessary instructions to bank. He added by saying that, It is also true that in last 6 years, 49,65000 farmers have got their KCC and around 1 crore 7 Lakh farmers have renewed their KCC.
In 2019-20 till now, we provide, 1,20,372 KCC to the farmers and renewed 14,36,400 existing KCC.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar says, till December 2019, we provide Rs. 28,764 crore loan to farmers of Bihar. Out of 15 thousand 752 crores of agricultural term loans, 13393 crores in KCC, 270 crores in Agricultural Mechanism, 113 crores in agricultural infrasture was given to Farmers in Bihar.
