In a cabinet meeting held on 25-08-2020 led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar approved new Agriculture Investment Policy in the state. This policy is said is going to encourage investment in the agriculture sector and attract investment for agro-based industries in the state. The Policy has provisions to increase the productivity of crops plus providing them the market.
7th Pay Scale to the Teachers of Government Recognized Minority Secondary School
Beside the new Agriculture Investment Policy, the cabinet meeting approves other agendas too. The same cabinet meeting decides to give 7th pay scale to the teachers of government recognized minority secondary school. Teachers appointed after January 1, 2016 and onwards are going to be benefited with this new decision.
Apart from that, the cabinet meeting also creates new service condition rules for personnel working in the posts of OBC, EBC Welfare Services.
Subsidy for Setting up Agriculture and Wood based Industry
In the same cabinet meeting, A new Bihar Wood based Industry Investment Promotion Policy 2020 is approved. The Bihar government will provide capital subsidy of 15 to 30% for setting up agro-based industries in the state. The maximum grant limit has been fixed at Rs 5 crore. This facility will be provided for setting up industries in 7 agriculture-based sectors that includes the production of makhana, fruit-vegetable, tea, maize, honey, seeds, and medicinal and aromatic plants along with its processing industries. An individual will get 15% capital subsidy for setting up agro based industries. The Farmers Producer Group (FPO) will get a capital grant of up to 25%. Individuals and groups belonging to SC, ST, OBC category will get 5% additional grant.
One Month Salary to the MBBS and PG Students
The cabinet meeting approved one-month salary to those MBBS and PG Students in the state who are engaged in helping hospitals during this global pandemic. The principals of the medical colleges in turn will be responsible for choosing such students.
