Amid this global pandemic, to attract investors setting up industries in the state, yesterday, a cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, approved a new land allocation and general amnesty policy. As per the Land Allocation Policy, BIADA is now giving new industries up to 50 percent discount for setting up industries on their land. From BIADA land, I mean those lands that are the proprietary of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority.
Currently, more than a quarter of Industrial Land cases between BIADA and People are stuck in the court. Now, as I said above, in addition to the Land Allocation Policy, the meeting also approved an Amnesty Policy to settle ongoing land disputes with BIADA. The Amnesty Policy helps people to withdraw their cases against BIADA by filing an affidavit. In return, BIADA allocates them land somewhere else.
Also, do note that, this new Land Allocation Policy is not going to applicable on lands controlled by Patna Metropolitan Authority Area and Municipal Industrial Area.
Backward Castes to get additional 15 percent Rebate
To promote and relief, Schedule Cast and Schedule Tribe people setting up industries on the BIADA land, the cabinet approved an additional 15 percent discount under the Land Allocation Policy. That means if any SC-ST people wants to set up an industry on BIADA land, then, they get a maximum discount of up to 65 percent.
Tip: Under the SC-ST Entrepreneur Scheme, the state government right now is giving loans up to 10 Lakh rupee to the SC-ST people for setting up Industries in the state.
