Nitish 2020 Cabinet has the highest number of Ministers from the Mithilanchal Region

Today, the Janta Dal United party president Nitish Kumar has taken the oath of the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 7th time. Also, for the first time in the history of Bihar, the state today has elected a Woman candidate as the Deputy Chief Minister. While Nitish Kumar takes the oath of the Chief Minister post, 14 other MLA also take the oath of Ministers in his cabinet.

Now, out of these 14 ministers, 5 of them are from the Mithilanchal region. Classifying them further, Darbhanga and Madhubani has 2 ministers each, whereas 1 minister is from Samastipur.

From Darbhanga, Jeevesh Kumar (of BJP) who won from the Jale seat has been taken in the ministry whereas VIP Party President, Mukesh Sahani who is a resident of Darbhanga also has been enlisted in the Nitish Cabinet, although he faced a defeat from the Simri Bakhtiyarpur seat. It seems like he has been placed in the Ministry because four of his party candidates have won seats in Bihar Assembly Elections 2020.

Other than Darbhanga, 2 candidates from Madhubani District have also been enlisted in the Bihar 2020 ministry. These two candidates are Seela Mandal who won the Phulparas seat (from JDU) and Ramprit Pawan who won the Rajnagar seat (from BJP).

Other than these 4 candidates, Vijay Kumar Choudhary (of JDU) who won the Sarairanjan seat from Samastipur has also taken inside the Nitish Cabinet 2020.
