Yesterday, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, inspected the proposed site of Darbhanga AIIMS.
While Inspecting the site, the Minister said, the foundation stone of Darbhanga AIIMS could be completed in March next year and it will be constructed within 4 years from its foundation date.
At the same place, the minister also said, from the session 2021-22, the proposed Darbhanga AIIMS is going to start the MBBS course. Initially, The Institute will have 50 seats for the MBBS course that might increase in future.
The Minister said, for this 750 bed AIIMS in Darbhanga, the Central Government has already approved Rs 1264 crore. It is the second AIIMS in Bihar after the one present in Patna.
Well, as per some report, the tender for the construction of the hospital is not final yet but within a month a team of engineers (both from the State and the Center) will visit the construction site after which the tender could be final and the construction will start in turn.
