In a bid to track and monitor the COVID patients who are in Home Isolation, the Bihar State Government launches HIT COVID App this Monday. Here HIT stands for Home Isolation Tracking.
The app helps the health workers in the state to monitor the COVID patients who are in home isolation.
The app will be installed in the tablets that have already been provided to all the health workers and ANMs in the state.
The health workers now have to daily visit the home isolated patients to feed their temperature, oxygen level and other data in the app.
If the oxygen level of any patient goes below 94 then the patient will immediately be shifted to the nearest Covid dedicated health center.
So, as you can see, the app also helps the state government to prepare a database of Home Isolated Covid patients in the state.
The HIT COVID app has been developed by the Bihar State Electronic Development Corporation (BELTRON) under the guidance of the Department of Health and Department of Information Technology.
Currently, the app is being used on pilot basis in 5 districts of Bihar – Bhagalpur, Nalanda, Gopalganj, Supaul, and Aurangabad. However, the officials have said that it will soon be used in other districts too.
