Seeing the rising casualties of COVID patients in Muzaffarpur, yesterday the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries in the Government of Bihar, Mukesh Sahani conducted a meeting with the officials at Circuit House in Muzaffarpur.
Expressing displeasure at the meeting, the Minister said that strict action will be taken if there is any negligence in the treatment of patients.
Yesterday, the minister also visited SKMCH, the largest Covid hospital in Muzaffarpur. The Minister instructed the hospital administration to install CCTV in the Covid wards at the earliest, to monitor how patients could get better health facilities.
After this, the minister inspected the oxygen plant being built in the hospital premises and said that within seven to ten days, this oxygen plant will be ready.
The Minister also asked the DDC to appoint an administrative officer to monitor that the oxygen plant should be ready as soon as possible.
On behalf of the party, the Minister also issued a helpline number for the assistance of the people.
Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Pranav Kumar, SSP Jayant Kant, SDO Western Anil Kumar Dus and other officials were present with the minister during the inspection of the hospital.
SKMCH to reserve three wards for COVID patients
Seeing the growing transition of Covid in the district, the SKMCH administration held a meeting with all the heads of the hospital yesterday.
It was decided at the meeting that three wards 3, 7, and 11 of the hospital will be reserved for Covid patients so that if the number of Covid patients in the district increases further, they can be provided beds easily in the hospital.
Presently, Ward 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 14 and pre-fabricated ward PIKU of SKMCH has been made Covid ward.
