After the global pandemic, the state is opening medical, nursing, and JNM colleges at a peak rate.
To regulate these colleges, yesterday, the Bihar Assembly passed a bill. The bill states the establishment of a University of Health Sciences in the state.
The University will regulate all the medical colleges in the state. But, with some exceptions.
- It will not regulate any college affiliated with a Deemed University.
- If any institution wants to teach any health science course, it must take permission from the University.
The upcoming Bihar Health Sciences University will offer different courses. For example, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, and others.
Bihar became the 6th state to establish a Sports University
Yesterday, the Bihar Assembly also passes a bill to establish a Sports University.
The Minister of Arts, Culture, and Youth, Dr. Alok Ranjan Jha presented this bill in the assembly.
He said Bihar will become the 6th state in the country to have a Sports University.
The headquarter of the University will be in Rajgir.
Also, the ongoing constructed Rajgir Sports Academy will fall under this University.
New Courses in Aryabhatta Knowledge University
Yesterday, the Bihar Assembly also approved the Aryabhatta Knowlege University Bill 2021.
The Education Minister, Dr. Vijay Kumar Chowdhary presented the bill in the assembly.
As per the bill, Aryabhatta Knowledge University will soon introduce more courses. For example, Nano Technology, Astronomy, Geography, River Studies, Climate Change, and more.
