As per the State CM Nitish Kumar, In the year 2021, Bihar has faced crop damage in 6.64 lakh hectares of land due to flood.
In the year 2021, the flood situation has occurred in the state in four phases that affects around 79.31 lakh farmers living in the 294 blocks of 31 districts in the state.
To compensate the affected farmers, the state government has sanctioned Rs 902.08 crore agricultural input grant for crops that have been damaged due to flood.
So far, the state government has disbursed more than Rs 867 crore among the flood affected families and soon 1.5 lakh families will also be disbursed.
1.41 lakh hectares uncultivated land in Bihar in 2021 due to water logging
Apart from the crops that are damaged due to the flood, 1.41 lakh hectares of land was uncultivated due to water logging. For such farmers, the state government has approved Rs 96.03 crore agricultural input grant.
Revised Memorandum will soon be sent to the center
The state government will soon submit a revised memorandum regarding the damage caused by floods in Bihar this year.
Currently, the department of disaster management is preparing the memorandum.
As soon as the memorandum is prepared, it will be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
