Muzaffarpur reports 76 COVID-19 cases

In just 2 days i.e. On July 31st and July 30th, Bihar reports the record 3521 COVID-19 patients. 2502 positive patients were identified on July 31st whereas 1019 patients were identified on July 30th.

In the last 24 hours, it has been reported a total of 28,624 samples were tested that is the highest number of samples so far has been tested in a day in Bihar. The total number of samples tested in Bihar so far is 5,76,796 in which 54,508 patients were tested positive and in the same 312 patients were died. The total number of recovered patients in the state is 35,473 and on Thursday the state has recorded the recovery rate of 65.08 percent.

13 Doctors Died in Just 18 days

A report by Live Hindustan says, In Just 18 days, 13 doctors were died in the state and it is worth noting that all these doctors were of age in between 60 to 67 years. Bihar IMA Secretary Dr. Sunil Kumar said we have requested the state government to allow doctors of these age range to work from home, however, regarding this no decision has been taken yet by the State Government.

Bihar collects more than Rs. 28 Lakh Fine for not wearing marks

The same report by Live Hindustan also states that amid lockdown the Bihar Government has collected more than Rs. 28 Lakh fine from people not wearing the face mask. In the last 15 days, around 17 thousand people were caught without face mask and they were penalized by the officials.

Patna DM Kumar Ravi tests positive with COVID-19

Today, a corona test report confirmed Patna District Magistrate, Kumar Ravi to be infected with COVID-19. Currently, he is in home isolation for 14 days. It has been said, he had fever, throat pain, cold and cough from several days. On Friday night he sampled for investigation and the report came positive today. However, he was on leave since Friday evening. Earlier, the DM was tested twice with the Rapid Antigen Kit and the report came negative, however, when tested via RT-PCR the report came positive. 25 days ago, around 70 people of his office were tested with the Rapid Antigen Kit and 14 reports were came positive.
