Amid this global Pandemic while many including the opposition demands to postpone the Bihar assembly elections 2020, the Election Commission has already announced to hold the elections on time. Although it is not certain yet, but it is believed the Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 will may be conducted in two to three phases. However, the Legislative Assembly has demanded to complete the election in just one phase that is quite a difficult task.
Now, seeing the outbreak of this global pandemic, the Election commission today has approved the formation of 33,804 new Auxiliary booths in the state. These new Auxiliary booths are ordered to establish in such a way that it resides within 2KM from every voter in the state. After getting these new Auxiliary booths, this time Bihar to reportedly conduct the Assembly elections with more than 1 lakh booths.
West Champaran has got 1159 New Auxiliary Booths
Out of these 33,804 new auxiliary booths, the West Champaran District in Bihar has a total of 1159 new auxiliary booths in nine areas. After getting these 1159 new auxiliary booths, West Champaran to now conduct the Assembly Elections 2020 with 3662 booths.
Like West Champaran, the number of booths after getting new auxiliary booths in East Champaran increases to 1686.
Parties Favour in conducting the Assembly Elections 2020
While it is obvious that the ruling party are in favour of conducting the Assembly Elections on time. The opposition, on the other hand, are not in favour of conducting the elections amid this global pandemic. However, recently we heard reports that LJP who is an ally of the ruling party is also not in favour of conducting Assembly elections demands to extend the same for some time.
