To overcome the need of blood and aim to save patient’s lives, Bihar’s biggest Blood Bank will soon be open in Muzaffarpur.
The blood bank is going to open and run on the ground floor of Muzaffarpur’s Red Cross that is located in Company Bagh.
The Secretary of Muzaffarpur Red Cross, Uday Shankar Prasad said that the blood bank is going to be set up at a cost of around Rs 3 crores.
It is going to be the biggest blood bank in Bihar.
It will be equipped with state of the art facilities.
For example, A blood separation machine will be installed to separate red blood cells from the whole blood unit.
This would be a savior for dengue, anemia, blood cancer, and thalassemia patients.
The facility will run 24 hours a day so that patients can take advantage of it as per their requirements.
Blood Separation Facility in Muzaffarpur
In Muzaffarpur, so far, SKMCH only had the facility for blood separation due to which patients are facility scarcity.
However, now with a blood bank (especially the state’s biggest) having a blood separation facility as well, the city will not just save the lives of local patients but statewide.
A Maternity Center is going to open in Motipur
In addition to building the state’s biggest blood bank, the Red Cross team is also building a maternity center.
The maternity center will open in Motipur, which has recently gained popularity in the state for industrialization.
This maternity center will overcome the need of pregnant womens to visit specialty hospitals.
The Red Cross team will make all arrangements to safely deliver a baby at the center itself.
