To overcome the need for books for Class 1 to 12th students, the Bihar Government has launched the Vidyavahini app, and this article explains the same.
Starting March 24, it was ordered by the Central Government to close all the educational institutions (that includes schools, colleges, coaching institutions and many more) amid Corona Outbreak in the Country. Now, due to closure of these institutions, Students studies start affecting; therefore, most of the state Government and also the Central Government starts promoting Digital Education and Online Classes via a different medium.
Where to download the Vidyavahini App?
Now, Following the same pattern, The Bihar Government today has launched an educational app for Class 1 to 12th students. This App named Vidyavahini Bihar is available in Google Playstore. It primarily contains all the books of Class 1 to 12th that students can download to read it digitally on their Smartphone, Laptops or Computer.
All of these books are from NCERT, and one can download it in PDF format from the same App. Beside downloading these books, students can feed their message in the My Notes section. However, to avail of this feature, the student first has to supply their Name and Mobile Number. See the below screenshot to see How this feature looks.
Now, other than these two things, the App also has a Photo Gallery section and a section called Others that contains some videos relevant to education in Bihar.
Commenting on the App from my side, I can say that, the App surely help those students who right now not have any way to access the books. Also, The App works fine when using it on Android Version 9. However, it crashes again and again on Android Version 7.
