In a bid to flatten the COVID-19 curve in the city, the District Magistrate Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh takes several important decisions in a meeting held yesterday (i.e. on 22-08-2020). In the same meeting, the city DM announced that from Monday (i.e. 24-08-2020), COVID-19 tests are going to be conducted in each ward of the city.
The City DM has given this task to the Municipal Commissioner to complete it in a planned manner. The Municipal Commissioner in turn has made the Deputy Municipal Commissioner as the nodal officer to complete this task and himself is going to closely monitor the campaign from the behind.
The City DM also asked the Municipal Commissioner to ask all the Ward Councillors falls under the PHCs in urban areas to cooperate and help completing this task smoothly.
In addition to that, the City DM has also ordered all the CDPOs of the Urban Area to help completing this task.
The City DM has said, since frequent cases are spotted in urban areas, we are now going to sample each and everyone at the ward level to play the safe game.
