About 20 Km from Deoghar, Jharkhand, in a Bihar District named Jamui, the Bihar Government will soon inaugurate the largest Biodiversity Park in the state. This park has been named Mahavir Park which has been made in 10 acres of land near Madhopur in Chakai Block. Bihar Forest Department has made this park in 4 years; however, the State Government has spent 12 crores for its construction.
Soon this park will be opened for public so that they can see Rudra Forest (that is connected with Lord Shiva) and Ashok Vatika (connected with Sita Haran) in the park premises. 4 years ago, in 2016, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone of this park and now can be inaugurated anytime soon.
It is said, it is the first park in the country where Kalpa Vriksh has been planted. This is in fact the biggest feature of this park. As soon as it opens, we will see a total of 277 Kalpa Vriksh planted in the park. The purpose to construct this park is to save different bio species and at the same time promote tourism and generate some employment.
