While it is already confirmed the Civil Aviation Operations are to be soon start from Darbhanga Airport, today a tweet from an authentic news agency confirmed the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri is visiting to review the Darbhanga and Deoghar airport on September 12.
Currently, the Airports Authority of India is building both these Airports and soon will activate the flight services.
Darbhanga MP, Gopal Thakur has recently met the Civil Aviation Minister about starting the flight services from the Darbhanga Vidyapati Airport as soon as possible. The MP said to the Aviation Minister, the delay in construction leads the Airport not to operate soon and requested the Minister to visit the site and review the same. Following the same request, the Minister is now visiting the Darbhanga Airport on September 12 to review the construction process.
Along with the Darbhanga Airport, the Minister will also visit the ongoing constructed Deoghar Airport on the same date i.e. September 12.
Now, coming to the name of Darbhanga Airport, although it is not confirmed officially yet but the MP has requested the Aviation Minister to name the Darbhanga Airport after the famous poet Kokil Mahakavi Baba Vidyapati.
