Muzaffarpur: The Construction of five major roads in Muzaffarpur are expected to be completed this year. Out of these five major roads, the Laxmi Chowk Dadar Road is expected to be completed by the Holi this year. Although the deadline to complete the construction of this road is December 2019 but the existing global pandemic is responsible for the delay.
Earlier, while the width of Laxmi Chowk Dadar Road was 3.75 metre, now, after widening its width is around 7 metres. A Channel is also being built and attached to the road to drain the sewage. The other four roads that are expected to be completed this year are as follows.
Mithanpura to Pani Tanki to Lal Kothi Road
The Widening and Construction of 14 metre Mithanpura to Pani Tanki to Lal Kothi Road has already been started. Currently, the width of the road is 6 metre however after widening its width will be 7 metres on both the lanes.
Jawaharlal Road to Hathi Chowk Road
For the past two year, people were looking for the construction of Jawaharlal Road that is now expected to be completed this year. The construction agency has already been selected by the Road Construction Department and the agreement is said to be completed after January 14, 2021. The Jawaharlal Road will be constructed from Navyuvak Samiti Trust to Jawaharlal Road to Kalyani Road to Choti Kalyani Road to Hathi Chowk. This road will also be widened.
Bhamashah Dwar to Brahampura Road
The widening and construction of the road from Bhamashah Dwar to Brahampura Road is also going to be completed this year. Currently the width of the road is 4 metre that will be 7 metre after it’s widening.
The Road from Masjid Chowk to Kaji Inda Chowk
The construction of 10 Km road from Masjid Chowk to Kaji Inda Chowk via Bela Imli Chowk and Shyam Nandan Sahay College is also going to be completed this year. Currently, the width of the road is 3.7 metre that is soon going to be 7 metre after it’s widening. Once the construction of this road will be completed, people from Samastipur-Manihari can easily enter the city. Also, the traffic load over the Kachi Pakki Highway will be reduced.
So, these are the five major roads that are expected to be completed this year in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
