Back in August last year, IAS Shri Vivek Ranjan Maitrey took charge as Municipal Commissioner of Muzaffarpur. He took over the charge from earlier Municipal Commissioner Manesh Kumar Meena.
A Domicile of Hinauta Village of Sadar Tehsil in Uttar Pradesh, Shri Vivek Ranjan Maitrey secured 164th rank in the UPSC examination. In 2015, he was selected for IRS (Indian Revenue Services) but his dream was to become an IAS, hence he again gave the UPSC examination and In 2017 secured 164th rank and finally got the IAS post.
As soon as Shri Vivek Ranjan Maitrey cleared the UPSC exam, he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary in Rural Development after completing the Phase 2 training of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie for a period of 13 weeks from 01-07-2019 to 27-09-2019. Shri Vivek Ranjan was then appointed as the SDM of Nalanda and is finally the Municipal Commissioner of Muzaffarpur District in Bihar.
