In a bid to improve the NAAC ranking of its affiliated colleges, Bihar University is creating new websites for its affiliated colleges.
Earlier, NAAC rates a college based on the SSR report, but now NAAC rates the college after seeing and analysing the college website.
As this year’s NAAC rating is starting soon, seeing the same Bihar University has given a tender to a private organisation (not disclosed) to create a new website for its affiliated colleges with ac.in domain.
Right now, while some colleges affiliated to Bihar University have a website some still haven’t. Also, those colleges who have a website most of them aren’t hosted on the academics domain (ac.in). Those of you who don’t know, an academic domain is mostly considered for a website associated to an academic organisation. Hence, an ac.in domain is favoured more for a college or any academic website.
Content of these New Websites
Some officials from Bihar University said, after the University Management System with these new websites we are going to create a College Management System.
Beside having the course syllabus, these new websites will contain e-content related to the course, information related to admission form, examination form and more.
The new website will also contain the detailed information of the teachers teaching in the respective college which will be called Teacher’s Profile. Beside listing the name, these profiles will contain the experience, research, and academic qualification of the teachers.
