In this session, Bihar State Department has given its recognition to only 66 medical institutions.
A notification regarding the same has already been released by SK Pandey, a special duty officer of the Bihar Government.
Out of all the 66 medical institutions, 11 of them are government medical colleges and government city hospitals. The remaining ones are private institutions.
Some institutions teach certificate and diploma courses whereas others teach up to graduation level.
The examination to take admission in certificate and diploma course is conducted by NMCH whereas the examination to take admission in graduate-level course is conducted by the University itself.
A candidate who wants to take admission in any of these medical institutions has to clear an entrance examination conducted by BCECE.
On one side all seats in Government-owned medical institutions are filled by the entrance examination, the private institutions are allowed to fill half of their institution’s seats with their own terms and conditions.
BCECE OSD, Anil Kumar said the application process to take admission to the recognized medical institutions in the state is started and will shut down after September.
