CM Nitish inaugurated the second ropeway of Bihar built on Mandar Hills

In order to promote eco-tourism, Bihar has recently built several initiatives.

Ropeway is one of them.

The state has recently constructed a Ropeway at Ratnagiri Hills, Rajgir.

Yesterday, the state CM, Nitish Kumar, inaugurated the second ropeway of the state at Mandar Hills, Banka.

Earlier, while people reach Mandar Hills in one hour, with Ropeway they can reach there in just 4 minutes.

The Chief Minister said that although there was a delay in the construction of this ropeway during the Corona period, it was finally completed.

The foundation stone of this ropeway was laid in the year 2015, while its construction work started from September 2017. The total cost of this ropeway to be built in just 4 years is Rs 9.18 crore. The length of this ropeway is 778 meters while its height is 198 meters. There are a total 8 cabins in this ropeway while each cabin can accommodate 4 people. The per person seating fee in this ropeway has been fixed at Rs 80.

This ropeway has been constructed by RITES and RRPL.

After inaugurating the ropeway, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Herbal Park which is being built on 18 acres of land.

Bihar will soon build six more Ropeway in the state

At the inauguration ceremony, the state CM announced, Bihar will soon get six more ropeways.

Here is the list of them.

  1. Barabar Caves, Jehanabad
  2. Maa Mundeshwari Temple, Kaimur
  3. Rohtasgarh Fort
  4. Durgeshwari Temple, Gaya
  5. Brahmayoni Hill, Gaya
  6. Pretshila, Gaya
