After food, leather, surgical, and pharma, a textile park might also be open in Muzaffarpur.
To open the textile park in Muzaffarpur, officials are looking for 1000 acres of land.
Under PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) park scheme, the central government (with the help of the state government) is promoting the textile industry in the state.
To open the textile park, the government is looking for lands in all the districts.
The Additional Chief Secretary of the Bihar Industry Department has asked the Muzaffarpur DM Pranav Kumar to find out the 1000 acres of land (if any) in the district where the park will be constructed. The district magistrate has to submit the report for the same before March 15, 2022.
In the first phase, Rs 300 crore will be invested to construct the Greenfield park whereas Rs 100 crore will be invested to construct the brownfield park.
The park will prepare threads, printing, design, etc.
It is believed, the PM MITRA scheme will revolutionize the textile industry.
