The Railway Ministry has recently written a letter to East Central Railway.
In this letter, the ministry has told that the bullet train running between Varanasi and Howrah will pass through Gaya and Sasaram in Bihar.
At present, the preliminary survey work for the Varanasi-Howrah High-Speed Rail Corridor has been completed. Now soon the work of laying a high-speed railway track on the selected route will be started.
In Bihar, Patna, Buxar, Ara, Biharsharif, and Nawada routes will also be connected by bullet train but in the second phase.
Along with Bihar, the Varanasi-Howrah bullet train will pass through Koderma, Hazaribagh, Giridih, and Dhanbad in Jharkhand.
Earlier it was believed that the bullet train in Bihar would first pass through Patna but to encourage tourism it is being passed through Gaya.
Many of you must be aware that Varanasi is a tourist destination. This is the city of Kashi Vishwanath. On the other hand, Gaya is the city of Lord Buddha. There is also an exercise to make Gaya station a world-class station.
Recently, while answering the question asked in the Rajya Sabha, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had told that bullet trains will be run on seven routes of the country.
- Delhi-Varanasi
- Mumbai-Nagpur
- Delhi-Ahmedabad
- Mumbai-Hyderabad
- Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore
- Varanasi-Howrah
- Delhi-Amritsar
