Today, In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, 25 agendas have been approved.
One of these agendas is for construction of 10 new scheduled caste and scheduled tribe schools in different districts of Bihar.
These schools will be called Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential Schools.
Here is the list of districts where these schools are going to open:
- Masodi (Patna)
- Akbarpur (Nawada)
- Chhatapur (Supaul)
- Vibhutipura (Samastipur)
- Patna Sadar
- Phulwarisharif (Patna)
- Tikari (Gaya)
- Bahadurpur (Darbhanga)
- Dobhi (Gaya)
- Belaganj (Gaya)
Apart from opening the 10 new SC ST schools, the other important agendas that approved in the meeting are:
- A new medical college and hospital in Saharsa.
- New Building for Madhubani Court (Project Cost Rs 31.94 crore)
- Transferring 5.10 acres of land in Mouza-Amarth to the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education for setting up a Government Engineering College in Jamui.
- Rs 35.60 crore has been released from Bihar Contingency Fund for Teacher Recruitment (conducted by BPSC).
- Rs 68.45 crore will be spent to construct Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi.
- Rs 110.3 crore will be spent to construct Sheikhpura Engineering College.
