Bihar allowed Movement of Buses from August 25

In a crisis management group meeting held yesterday under the state chief secretary Deepak Kumar decided to allow the movement of all the Government and Private buses in the state from Tuesday i.e. August 25, 2020. Most of you already know, back in July 16 while enforcing the fresh lockdown in the state, the movement of all the public transport services were ordered to be shut down. However, later, Autorickshaws, cabs and taxi could operate but buses were put out of the same rule. Now, from today on all the Interdistrict, Intradistrict and Interstate buses can operate in the state.

Now, although all the buses can operate in the state, they are not allowed to ply in the containment zones. Also, the bus owners must clean and sanitize the bus after each trip. All the social distancing norms should be followed, that means there must be a proper distance between passengers sitting in the buses. Passengers must wear masks. Drivers and Conductors also must wear masks and clean cloths. Violating any of the above terms gives the administration to act against the respective bus and the bus owner.

All the District administrations have been ordered to deploy cops and concerning officials at the bus stations to monitor and maintain the social distancing norms properly.
