Following recommendation of the Government of Bihar, The Ministry of Home Affairs finally has approved a 500 Bed COVID-19 Hospital at Patahi Airport in Muzaffarpur. The Ministry has permitted DRDO to build an Air Conditioned 500 Bed COVID-19 Hospital in the Airport premises. The DRDO team, on the other hand, is expected to reach the Patahi Airport on Saturday. The team is expected to build this airconditioned 500 Bed COVID-19 hospital in a maximum of 15 days.
The Infected COVID-19 patients from the city is going to be treated at this hospital.
For each bed of this air-conditioned hospital, there is an oxygen system for which electricity is going to be required and for the same NBPDCL has taken the responsibility to install twenty 200KVA transformers.
The PHED has been given the responsibility to supply 2 Lakh litres of water everyday at the hospital via submersibles in the Airport Premises. Apart from that, the Housing Department has been given the responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the Hospital premises. Also, an approach road has to be built to easily reach at this hospital.
