In a review meeting via video conferencing with all the District Magistrates in the State, Bihar Chief Minister, Mr. Nitish Kumar asked to increase the number of beds for COVID-19 patients in the SKMCH Muzaffarpur. Currently, the hospital has 100 beds dedicated for COVID-19 patients and soon 50 more beds are going to be added in the same ward.

The Chief Minister reviewed every minute details by asking how the hospital treats COVID-19 patients, the number of doctors and medical staffs deputed in the COVID-19 ward, the availability of medicines, oxygen cylinders and so on.

The Bihar CM also directs the Muzaffarpur Officials to collect Corona testing kit or Tru-Nat machine if required from the Principal health secretary of Bihar.

Beside the Muzaffarpur District Magistrate, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, the same review meeting also holds the presence of SSP Jayant Kant, SKMCH Superintendent Dr. Sunil Kumar Shahi, and SKMCH Principal, Dr. Vikas Kumar. The City DM informed the Chief Minister the current status of Covid Care centres in Muzaffarpur located in SKMCH, Turkey and Sadatpur.
