Bihar to Promote Students of Class 1 to 8 without taking Examination

Seeing the absence of classes during the pandemic last year, this Friday in a meeting, the Bihar Education Department has decided to promote Bihar Board students of Class 1 to 8 to their respective higher class without taking any examination. However, students of these classes must complete the three month course that will be taught in their school in order to be promoted to the next class.

Bihar for the first time going to promote 1.60 crore students without examination

The three month course that is said to start from mid of march this year includes the necessary course of their existing class as well as prerequisites to the higher class. This is the first time ever in Bihar, around 1.60 crore students in the state are going to be promoted to the higher class without any examination.

While the state has opened schools for Classes 6 to 8 from February 8 and for Higher Classes from January 4, Schools for Classes 1 to 5 have not been opened yet in the state and for the same the State Education Department has sent a proposal to the State Crisis Management Group asking them to open schools for Classes 1 to 5 as soon as possible.
