Last week we told you Bihar will promote Students of Class 1 to 8 to their higher class without taking examination. Due to the pandemic last year, schools were closed throughout the country. In Bihar schools were opening from the beginning of this year.
From January 4, Schools for Higher Classes like Classes from 9 to 12 and classes for college students were started operating. Then, the state government allowed open schools for Classes 6 to 8 from February 8 but so far lower classes like Classes from 1 to 5 weren’t opened.
Last week, the state education board sent a proposal about getting permission to open schools for classes 1 to 5 to the State Crisis Management Group. Seems like the crisis management group has accepted the proposal because, the chief secretary Deepak Kumar has said Schools for Classes 1 to 5 is going to open in the state from March 1 this year.
As soon as the schools for classes 1 to 5 start operating in the state, all classes starting from 1 to 12 will be operating in the state after the pandemic crisis. The chief secretary said, although the schools are open, they all have to follow the assigned guidelines. For example, the schools are allowed to teach 50% of its students in a day and then the remaining 50% the next day.
