Today, Patna Police has arrested the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) chief Pappu Yadav from his residence in Mandiri, Patna that falls in Buddha Colony Police Station.
Following some trusted sources, it has been said the JAP supremo has been arrested for Violating the lockdown norms that has been implemented in the state after seeing the rising cases of COVID-19.
In recent days, several FIRs have been filed against the JAP supremo. For example, the Saran administration has registered two FIRs against him for assault and violation of lockdown. The caretakers and guards of Amrapur’s Jayaprabha Community Center have accused Pappu Yadav and his bodyguard of assaulting them. Beside that several other places have lodged FIRs against Pappu Yadav for unauthorized entry into Hospitals.
The government asserts that they have arrested the JAP chief after warning him several times not to violate the COVID lockdown norms. The JAP party chief, on the other hand, said the government has arrested him as he recently raised an issue of 30-40 ambulances lying idle in this global pandemic. These 30-40 ambulances are of BJP MP and Former Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy from Saran.
Earlier it was said that the JAP chief has been made into house arrest but soon the JAP chief tweeted that he has been arrested and has been taken to the Gandhi Maidan Police Station in Patna.
Police officers who have arrested the JAP Chief said they warned Pappu Yadav several times not to violate the lockdown norms. Despite all, he broke the lockdown norms several times and that’s why he was taken into custody.
