The NDA government was formed in the state after the results of the Bihar elections about two and a half months ago, but the cabinet could not be expanded due to some reasons.
Yesterday, the first expansion of the new NDA government cabinet took place at Raj Bhavan in Patna, with 17 new ministers assigned to them.
The oath ceremony was attended by the state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad, Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi, Former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and several leaders.
In the oath-taking ceremony, these 17 ministers were assigned the work of different departments of the state. Of these 17 ministers, 9 ministers belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party while 8 ministers belong to the Janata Dal United.
Three ministers are the most inducted from Gopalganj. Youth leaders have also been given an opportunity under this cabinet expansion of Nitish government, Jayant Raj is the youngest minister, while Sumit is the second and Nitin is the third youngest minister in the cabinet.
The total number of ministers in Nitish Kumar’s 2020 government has now increased to 31. However, 5 posts are still vacant in the cabinet.
